Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has criticized the government, stating that more unethical individuals exist within governance than outside it. Speaking at Nexford University’s graduation ceremony themed “Lead the Change; Ignite Your Future,” Obi described the system as a “crime scene” dominated by corrupt officials.

“There are actually more Yahoo people in government than outside because we’ve turned the country into a crime scene,” he said.

Obi urged graduates to lead societal change through integrity, emphasizing the importance of quality leadership. Other speakers, including former Minister Obi Ezekwesili, highlighted the role of service and technology in fostering national development. Nexford’s founder, Fadl Al Tarzi, praised the integration of AI in education, citing its potential to transform Nigeria’s economy and improve global competitiveness.

A graduating student, Yewande Matthew, celebrated her journey to earning a first-class degree in Digital Marketing, attributing her success to effective time management.
