The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, called on Nigerians to remain patient, assuring them of better days ahead under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking in Ibadan while paying a condolence visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the loss of his elder brother, Wike reaffirmed that Tinubu’s policies were designed to yield positive results.

“On the current state of the nation, I would just say that the people should be patient.

This country was in a dire situation a few years ago, and if we want a remedy, we need to give Mr. President time,” Wike stated.

He acknowledged that the “ongoing reforms may have immediate effects on citizens” but stressed that they were necessary to achieve long-term stability and progress.

“For me, nobody should panic because Mr. President means well for the country.

Nigerians should expect better things,” he added.

Wike emphasized that Tinubu’s policies were implemented to “steer the nation towards sustainable development”, addressing the challenges inherited by the administration.

The minister was accompanied by key political figures, including former G-5 Governors Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), as well as Senators Sandy Onor, Philip Aduda, Olaka Nwogu, Mao Ohuabunwa, and former House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Chibudom Nwuche.
