President Bola Tinubu has appointed Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu as the Director General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), marking a strategic step toward revitalizing Nigeria’s economic landscape.

This appointment, contained in a memo signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and obtained by ARISE News, underscores the administration’s commitment to streamlining business operations and attracting investments.

PEBEC is tasked with removing bureaucratic and legislative hurdles to ease business processes and improving Nigeria’s global perception regarding ease of doing business.

Audu’s Credentials and Vision

Princess Zahrah Audu, a seasoned entrepreneur and technology expert, brings extensive experience to her new role. Before her appointment, she served as the Technical Adviser on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the President, where she spearheaded initiatives like the “Invest in Nigeria” campaign and the Existing Foreign Direct Investors Roundtable Forum.

With a background in software engineering and a business management degree from a leading UK institution, Audu has over a decade of experience building and scaling successful ventures. Her expertise in global business dynamics positions her as a vital figure in driving sustainable economic growth and attracting FDI.

“Audu is known for transforming ambitious visions into actionable strategies,” the memo highlighted. Her dedication to innovation and transformative change has earned her recognition across multiple sectors.

Philanthropy and Leadership

Beyond her professional achievements, Princess Audu is a committed philanthropist focused on uplifting underprivileged communities in Nigeria. Her international connections and advocacy for social equity bolster her ability to foster partnerships that benefit the nation’s economic and social development.

Her leadership in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and her advocacy for women in leadership reflect her commitment to inclusive progress.

Expectations for Economic Reforms

Audu replaces Jumoke Oduwole, now serving as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, following a cabinet reshuffle. Her appointment aligns with President Tinubu’s strategy to position capable individuals at the forefront of Nigeria’s economic reform agenda.

With her passion for innovation and a track record of success, Princess Zahrah Audu is expected to chart a transformative path for Nigeria’s business environment. Her leadership at PEBEC is anticipated to drive economic growth, enhance ease of doing business, and unlock new investment opportunities.
