The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has appealed to residents of Osun State to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, INEC’s Public Affairs Officer in the state, Musa Olurode, disclosed that 360,794 PVCs were still uncollected across its offices in Osun.
He said:
“INEC in Osun is using this medium to inform the general public that the ongoing voter registration exercise provides yet another opportunity for people yet to collect their PVCs to do so.
More than 360,794 PVCs are uncollected in Osun.
INEC, under the leadership of Dr Mutiu Agboke, is requesting owners of these cards to use this opportunity for the ongoing CVR to collect their cards.”
Olurode noted that the cards would be available for collection at INEC’s 30 local government offices across the state as well as the Area Office in Modakeke, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
He further advised residents who have not registered before to take part in the ongoing exercise while cautioning against multiple registrations.
