Ikorodu City, also known as the Lagos Hunters, will be seeking their first victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) when they host Nasarawa United on Matchday 4.

Despite two losses and one draw so far, the Oga Boys remain determined to secure their first three points of the season.

Ikorodu City’s campaign got off to a disappointing start with a 1-0 loss to Enugu Rangers in their most recent home game. The defeat came on the heels of their recent exit from the CAF Champions League, leaving fans still reeling from the disappointment.

Rangers’ victory at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena provided little comfort to the struggling side, who now face another tough test against Nasarawa United.

Nasarawa United, returning to the top flight after a period of relegation, have also been searching for their first win of the season. They have recorded two draws and one loss, leaving them just one point ahead of Ikorodu City. In their most recent match, the Solid Miners put up an impressive fight against El Kanemi Warriors, with captain Anas Yusuf scoring all three of their goals, although they ultimately lost the match.

This weekend’s clash marks the first-ever official meeting between the two sides, and it promises to be an exciting encounter as both teams look to kick-start their campaigns with a much-needed victory.

For Ikorodu City, securing a win would not only boost their morale but also help them recover from a tough start to the season.
