The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has dismissed circulating reports about recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) as false. The board urged the public to disregard these unfounded claims.

In a recent statement, the CDCFIB emphasized that the reports did not originate from any official source within the board and should be ignored.

The board also issued a warning to the public to stay alert to fraudulent recruitment schemes and unauthorized agents posing as representatives of the service.

The statement read: “The board wishes to inform the general public that the purported online publications did not emanate from the board and as such, should be disregarded.

It also wishes to warn members of the public to be wary of the activities of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers.”

While denying the recruitment claims for the NIS, the CDCFIB confirmed that the recruitment process for the Federal Fire Service (FFS) is currently in progress.

Candidates shortlisted for the next stage will be notified via phone and email, using the contact details they provided during registration.
