Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade found the back of the net for Atletico Madrid in their dominant 4-0 victory over Madrid CFF in a Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino derby.

Ajibade’s goal came in the 51st minute, following a precise assist from Vilde Bøe Risa, as Atletico Madrid secured the win after taking the lead in the 21st minute through an own goal by Paola Ulloa. The first half ended with that lone goal, but Atletico ramped up their attack in the second half.

Further goals came from an own goal by Madrid CFF’s Emily Assis de Carvalho, and Synee Jensen added the fourth for the dominant Madrid side.

Ajibade, who played the full 90 minutes, has now scored in consecutive games. Her impressive performances have earned her a nomination for the Spanish Liga F’s Player of the Month award for September.

With two goals and two assists to her name, Ajibade is competing for the prestigious honor alongside other standout players, including Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, Real Madrid’s Caroline Weir, Levante Badalona’s María Llompart, and Athletic Club Femenino’s Nerea Nevado.
