President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigeria’s international allies to intensify their support for the country’s ongoing fight against terrorism, pledging decisive action to eradicate insecurity while commending the bravery and unity of the armed forces.

The President made the appeal on Friday through a statement posted on his verified X handle, @officialABAT, reaffirming Nigeria’s position as a reliable global partner and expressing readiness to collaborate with allies to enhance national security and economic growth.

Tinubu emphasized that security remains non-negotiable, assuring Nigerians that his administration will leave no stone unturned in its mission to eliminate criminal and terrorist groups threatening the nation’s peace.

He acknowledged that Nigeria has been battling terrorism for nearly two decades but maintained that the country would not relent until the menace is completely defeated. The President also highlighted notable progress made in the past two years in restoring stability and reclaiming territories from insurgents.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism – a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down,” Tinubu stated. “We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle. With unwavering courage and a steadfast commitment to the rule of law, we will prevail.”

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic partnerships, noting that Nigeria’s engagement on the global stage is driven by “unwavering calm, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose.”

He further described Nigeria as “one united family” that rises and moves forward together, urging citizens to embrace determination over despair in pursuit of a stronger, more prosperous nation.

“The task ahead is immense, yet our resolve is even greater. We will continue to sustain and build on our reform gains and deliver a prosperous and inclusive Nigeria,” Tinubu added.

He also reiterated Nigeria’s openness to cooperation from international allies in both security and economic sectors, stressing that the nation would continue to serve as a dependable partner and a steady voice for stability.

In his concluding remarks, the President paid glowing tribute to members of the armed forces and intelligence community for their courage and sacrifice, saying their dedication remains the backbone of Nigeria’s resilience.

“To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community… who serve fearlessly, fight side-by-side, and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror,” Tinubu said.
