The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has fully restored bulk power supply to Eko and Ikeja Electricity Distribution Companies, bringing relief to electricity consumers in Lagos State.
According to TCN’s spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, the restoration follows the completion of repairs on a damaged section of the 330kV Osogbo-Omotosho transmission line.
The repair work, which addressed a line snap between towers 420 and 422, was successfully completed at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
With the issue resolved, normal bulk transmission has resumed, and the load shedding caused by the fault has been halted.
TCN expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government, Eko and Ikeja Discos, and electricity consumers for their patience and cooperation during the period of disruption.
