The Senator representing Niger North Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Distinguished Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, has donated ₦15 million to communities affected by recent banditry attacks in Niger State.
The humanitarian gesture is aimed at supporting victims of violent attacks that claimed lives, left several residents injured, and led to the abduction of others. Of the total sum, ₦10 million was allocated to the Kasuwan Daji Market community, where traders and residents were recently attacked, while ₦5 million was donated to the Boiya Community, which had earlier suffered a similar banditry assault.
The donation, according to the senator, is intended to provide immediate relief, ease the suffering of affected families, and support ongoing recovery efforts in the affected areas.
The funds were presented on the senator’s behalf by his Legislative Aide, Hon. Usama Dodo Adam, who conveyed Senator Sani Bello’s heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones and expressed solidarity with residents impacted by the attacks.
He reaffirmed the senator’s “unwavering commitment to advocating for improved security, lasting peace, and the protection of lives and livelihoods across the Niger North Senatorial District,” while assuring the communities that their plight remained a top priority.
