In a swift response to the devastating rainstorm that struck Wushishi Local Government Area of Niger State, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello has donated ₦10 million to victims of the disaster.

The lawmaker, who represents Niger North and chairs the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, sent a delegation to deliver the relief package to the Emir of Wushishi, Alhaji Shehu Ibrahim, on Saturday, June 22.

Members of the delegation included the Senator’s Senior Special Assistant, Alhaji Ali Qira; Legislative Aide I, Comrade Muhammad Sani Yahya; Personal Assistant, Bashar Agogo; and senior stakeholder, Alhaji Idi Chabi, among others.

Speaking on behalf of the Senator, the delegation said the donation was intended to support families whose homes and livelihoods were affected by the storm. Senator Bello, in his message, reassured the people of Wushishi of his continuous support and commitment to their welfare.

The Emir of Wushishi, visibly moved by the gesture, expressed gratitude on behalf of the community. He described the donation as timely and impactful, especially as families begin to recover from the incident.

Senator Sani Bello’s intervention adds to a growing record of community-focused initiatives aimed at cushioning the effects of natural disasters and improving the lives of his constituents across Niger State.
