The Nigerian Presidency has expressed strong disapproval over the emergence of campaign billboards for the 2027 general elections featuring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Remi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

According to the State House, the early promotion of candidates through political advertisements is in clear violation of electoral laws, which prohibit campaigns outside the designated period set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Federal Government has ordered individuals and groups sponsoring these billboards across various states to halt such activities immediately, emphasizing the need to respect the rule of law and electoral guidelines.

The Presidency reiterated that President Tinubu has not authorized or supported any early campaign initiatives.
