Youths took to the streets of Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, to express their frustrations regarding the nation’s economic challenges. The demonstrators carried placards with various messages, urging President Bola Tinubu to restore the fuel subsidy to help alleviate the rising cost of living, particularly the sharp increase in food prices.
The protest commenced at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Old Garage, and proceeded through key areas of the city, including Oke-Fia, Dada Estate, and Dele Yes Sir, before concluding at the Olaiya flyover junction via Oba Adesoji Aderemi Way.
Throughout the march, participants chanted solidarity songs to amplify their demands, while security personnel were present to ensure peace and order.
Dubbed #FearlessInOctober, this protest is an extension of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations held from August 1 to 10, reflecting the widespread economic hardship affecting many Nigerians.
