Ondo State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the November 16 governorship election, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has pledged to deliver on all his campaign promises, emphasizing that he will not offer empty assurances.

During a campaign stop in the Ido Ani community of Ose Local Government on Saturday, Aiyedatiwa reiterated his commitment to addressing key issues in the region, particularly security and infrastructure development.

Speaking at the palace of the Alani of Ido Ani, the governor highlighted his administration’s efforts to strengthen security and complete ongoing road projects.

Communities in Ose, which borders Edo State, have been plagued by security challenges, including banditry and kidnappings. In response, Aiyedatiwa assured residents that his administration would boost the deployment of security personnel to the area to curb these threats.

“Unlike other candidates who make promises they don’t keep, I don’t believe in empty words.

I will take action and deliver good governance,” Aiyedatiwa declared.

“We understand the needs of the people here, and that is why my Special Adviser on Infrastructure is already working to identify and address those needs swiftly,” he continued.

He further pledged to prioritize roads, healthcare, and education across Ose Local Government, ensuring that every community benefits from meaningful development.

“We are ready to serve you better and make sure no community is left behind,” Aiyedatiwa added.

Traditional leaders, including the Alani of Ido Ani, Oba Olufemi Olutoye, and the Onidogun of Idogun, Oba Moses Bakare, urged the governor to address the region’s poor road network, which they said has hindered economic growth and access to essential services.

They also called for improvements in healthcare, the renovation of schools, and greater political inclusion, requesting that more political appointments be given to people from Ose Local Government.

The Onimoru of Imoru Land, Oba Rotimi Obamuagun, also appealed to Aiyedatiwa to intensify efforts in improving security, particularly in rural communities where farmers and traders face increasing threats from criminal activities.

“Farming is our main source of livelihood, but insecurity has put both our farmers and traders at risk.

We need the government to strengthen security in our communities to protect our people and ensure their peace of mind,” Oba Obamuagun stated.

Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to addressing these concerns and vowed to work diligently to meet the needs of the people in Ose and beyond.
