The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the launch of a new digital platform for processing the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC), effective August 1, 2025.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Service Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, Mr. Akinsola Akinlabi.

According to Akinlabi, the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s ongoing reform agenda to modernize the NIS and improve the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of its services.

He said the new platform—accessible via https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng—will allow applicants to complete and submit their CERPAC applications entirely online, eliminating the need for physical forms.

“Effective from August 1, the use of physical CERPAC forms will be discontinued,” Akinlabi said. “All CERPAC applications after July 31 must be submitted solely through the online portal.”

He emphasized that the digital transition aims to streamline the application process and enhance the overall experience for individuals and corporate organisations responsible for expatriates’ immigration matters.

Applicants who have paid for but not yet submitted their CERPAC forms were urged to do so before the July 31 deadline to avoid forfeiting their application status and related payments.

“Similarly, individuals and companies with pending submissions are strongly encouraged to complete all processes within the stipulated timeline to avoid any inconvenience,” he added. “Any form not submitted before the deadline will be rendered void and invalid.”

Akinlabi also advised that all enquiries related to the transition be directed to the office of the NIS Public Relations Officer.

He reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to delivering efficient, technology-driven immigration services in line with global best practices.
