Nigerian music sensation Daniel Anidugbe, widely known as Kizz Daniel, has surprised fans with the news of his upcoming break from releasing new music. The singer revealed that he will take a hiatus from the music scene until 2026, following the release of his much-anticipated EP Uncle K, set to drop on November 29, 2024.
“After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026,” Kizz Daniel posted on his X handle on Friday, triggering a range of reactions from fans who expressed both surprise and sadness at the prospect of his absence from the music scene.
Since his breakout hit Woju in 2016, Kizz Daniel has solidified his position as one of Nigeria’s top hitmakers, with five studio albums and numerous chart-topping singles to his name.
In addition to his music announcement, the artist shared a deeply personal loss, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer. He appealed to his dedicated fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her memory.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.
