The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, inaugurated a 17-member reconciliation committee to rebuild unity and trust within the party.
Chaired by Alhaji Shuaibu Idris Mikati, the committee is tasked with addressing member grievances, particularly those arising from recent party congresses and primary elections.
According to a statement from Maria Dogo, Publicity Secretary of the PDP Kaduna State Chapter, the committee will also engage with individuals who feel marginalized and work to reintegrate former members who have left the party.
Furthermore, the committee is expected to propose strategies to prevent future conflicts and promote lasting unity.
At the inauguration ceremony in Kaduna, PDP State Chairman Chief Edward Percy Masha expressed appreciation to the committee members and voiced confidence in their ability to successfully execute their mandate.
He also emphasized that the committee is given a two-month timeline to complete its assignment.
