The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with over 1.8 million results now available.
The examination body disclosed that the latest batch covers candidates who sat for the test on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, adding that more than 1.2 million results from the two days have been processed and released.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB said the development builds on an earlier release of results for candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday, April 16.The board noted that it had previously released over 600,000 results from the first day of the exercise, bringing the cumulative total so far to about 1.8 million candidates.
“The results of candidates who sat the examination on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026 have now been released,” the statement said, adding that the figures represent a significant portion of candidates who have taken the examination nationwide.
JAMB advised candidates to check their results using its official SMS channels, reiterating its standard procedure to ensure secure and accessible result verification.The UTME is a key requirement for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and the board typically releases results in batches as processing continues across the country.
