The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has firmly refuted claims of its involvement in the admissions process for Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
In an official statement, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that the board “has no involvement, authority, or control” over the admissions of HND candidates.
The statement further clarified that JAMB is not responsible for admissions into any programs outside of their regular admissions mandate.
The board also asserted that the HND admissions process falls outside JAMB’s jurisdiction and is unrelated to its core functions.
This clarification comes in response to recent accusations from some HND students, who alleged that JAMB was responsible for their exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) due to having completed part-time programs during their National Diploma (ND) studies.
