The 2025 GRAMMY Awards season is officially underway, with today marking a significant moment, the highly anticipated nomination ceremony, set for Friday, November 8, 2024.

This year, the Recording Academy has implemented notable changes to several award categories to better reflect the evolving music industry and ensure broader inclusivity.

The revisions, aimed at enhancing the integrity of the GRAMMYs, were outlined in a recent update on the Academy’s website.

Among the key changes is the introduction of the new “Best Dance Pop Recording” category, which replaces the former Best Pop Dance Recording.

Additionally, the Best Remixed Recording category has been repositioned within the Pop & Dance/Electronic Field.

These changes align with the Academy’s commitment to supporting the growing diversity of musical genres and empowering creators.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. emphasized the importance of these updates, noting that they are in line with the Academy’s mission to “support the evolving music landscape” and “empower creators.”

He also reminded Voting Members of the GRAMMYs long-standing legacy, stressing that “every vote can shape the future of music.”

Fans and industry professionals are closely following the live stream of the nomination event on live.GRAMMY.com, where the list of nominees will be revealed.

The ceremony comes as the prelude to the 67th GRAMMY Awards, set for Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where the winners will be announced.

In addition to category updates, the Academy has revised eligibility and submission guidelines, particularly for the Songwriter of the Year category, now allowing songwriters to qualify with fewer songs.

This aims to ensure a more inclusive process for recognizing musical talent.

The GRAMMY journey began months ago, with the eligibility period running from September 16, 2023, to August 30, 2024, and the voting process kicking off with the first round in October.

The updates reflect a renewed dedication to honoring excellence in the recording arts, blending innovation with tradition.

The 2025 GRAMMY Awards season promises to be a memorable one, as music enthusiasts eagerly await the announcement of this year’s nominees.

The journey to Music’s Biggest Night has officially begun.

The Key Dates for 2025 GRAMMYs are Sept. 16, 2023 – Aug. 30, 2024: Product Eligibility Period.

July 8, 2024 – Aug. 23, 2024: Media Company Registration Period.

July 17, 2024 – Aug. 30, 2024: Online Entry Period.
