Governor Dikko Radda has formally approved a sweeping cabinet reshuffle that sees several commissioners reassigned and two new special advisers appointed. The changes, which take effect immediately, are designed to strengthen coordination, deepen policy expertise, and accelerate program delivery in priority sectors.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Radda emphasised that the reshuffle is part of his administration’s “Building Your Future” agenda, urging appointees to redouble their commitment to service. “The Governor charged all appointees to remain committed to the vision of his administration’s Building Your Future agenda and prioritise service to the people of Katsina State,” the statement reads.
Among the key appointments:
- Hon. Adnan Nahabu has been appointed Commissioner for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education.

Governor Radda voiced his confidence that the reconfiguration will enhance operational synergy across education, health, agriculture, youth development, women empowerment, and social welfare sectors. “The move … is aimed at repositioning the administration for improved service delivery and optimal performance across key sectors,” the release states.
Observers note the timing of the reshuffle—mid-term in the Governor’s tenure—suggests an effort to inject fresh momentum into the administration ahead of the next electoral cycle, while also responding to evolving governance challenges.
