Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has released his much-anticipated eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, which dropped late Thursday, July 10, through Spaceship Records, Bad Habit, and Atlantic Records.
The 16-track project features an eclectic mix of sounds and high-profile collaborations. Fans will recognize previously released singles including “Bundle by Bundle,” “Update,” “Sweet Love,” “TaTaTa” featuring Travis Scott, and “Change Your Mind” with Shaboozey. New collaborations on the album include Mick Jagger on “Empty Chairs” and Belgian artist Stromae on “Pardon.” Notably, “TaTaTa” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, while both “Bundle by Bundle” and “Update” reached No. 5.
Describing the album’s direction in a recent Billboard France cover interview, Burna Boy said, “It’s extrospective. It’s not just about me but about looking outward, reflecting on the world, and how my experiences connect to the bigger picture. It’s about growth, understanding, and challenging perceptions while staying true to who I am.”
Burna Boy is set to headline the closing night of Afro Nation Portugal tonight at the Lit Stage, marking the live debut of several tracks from No Sign of Weakness.
Looking ahead, the Grammy-winning artist will embark on the No Sign of Weakness Tour this November, kicking off at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado—making him the first Nigerian artist to headline the venue. The 17-city tour will span major U.S. locations including Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Boston, and Atlanta, before concluding with back-to-back shows at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on December 17 and 18.
No Sign of Weakness comes two years after Burna Boy’s I Told Them…, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album. Its hit tracks “City Boys” and “Sittin’ On Top of the World” (featuring 21 Savage on the remix) were also nominated for Best African Music Performance and Best Melodic Rap Performance, respectively.
