Imisi Eniola Ayanwale has emerged winner of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10 reality TV show, claiming the ₦150 million grand prize after an intense 70-day competition that kept millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond glued to their screens.

The emotional grand finale, held on Sunday night, saw Imisi crowned champion after weeks of drama, alliances, and emotional twists in the Big Brother house.

In an unexpected twist this season, Big Brother had earlier announced that the winner would be selected from the final 10 housemates, rather than the usual final two. However, the show eventually returned to tradition, narrowing it down to Imisi and Dede before host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu declared the ultimate winner.

Speaking moments after her victory, a visibly overwhelmed Imisi expressed gratitude and excitement, describing her win as the culmination of a challenging yet transformative journey.

“Honestly, right now, I don’t have a set plan for the money,” she said. “I need to seek financial advice first, because I’ve never had such a large amount before.”

She explained that while she had managed smaller sums in the past, handling such a huge amount required maturity and professional guidance. “I intend to take my time to make thoughtful decisions that will help me avoid financial mistakes,” she added.

During her final diary session with Big Brother earlier on Sunday, Imisi appeared both reflective and excited as she spoke about her growth and experiences in the house.

Throughout the season, Imisi’s authenticity, calm demeanour, and emotional honesty endeared her to fans, helping her build a massive following online. She was particularly praised for her composure during conflicts and her ability to express vulnerability in a high-pressure environment.

Ahead of the finale, Imisi had named Dede, Jason Jae, Kola, Kaybobo, and Isabella as fellow finalists she would have been happy to see win if the crown didn’t go her way.

As she walked off the stage with her prize and other rewards, Imisi reflected on her journey, calling it a “roller coaster of emotions” that taught her resilience and self-awareness. She said she looked forward to reuniting with her family and returning to normal life after weeks of isolation.

The grand finale capped off more than two months of laughter, drama, friendship, and unforgettable moments — and Imisi now joins the ranks of past BBNaija winners such as Phyna, Mercy Eke, Laycon, Whitemoney, and Ilebaye.
