Bayern Munich have announced a two-year contract extension for head coach Vincent Kompany, keeping the Belgian tactician at the Allianz Arena until 2029.
The Bundesliga giants confirmed the development on Tuesday, marking a vote of confidence in Kompany following a remarkable start to his managerial spell in Germany.
Kompany, who took charge in the summer of 2024 amid skepticism over his appointment, guided Bayern to reclaim the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen in his debut season.
The 39-year-old has since led the Bavarians to an outstanding run of form, winning all 11 matches so far this campaign and maintaining top positions in both the Bundesliga and Champions League standings.
A former Manchester City captain and Premier League winner, Kompany’s impact at Bayern has been swift and impressive, earning him strong support within the club hierarchy.
His renewed deal signals Bayern’s long-term commitment to his leadership as the club continues its pursuit of domestic and European dominance.
