Grammy-winning Beninese singer, Angélique Kidjo, is set to make history as the first African artist to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Kidjo’s name was unveiled among the 2026 honorees by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, marking a significant milestone in her celebrated global career.
She joins a distinguished list of upcoming recipients that includes American pop sensation Miley Cyrus, French actor Timothée Chalamet, and former basketball star and sports analyst Shaquille O’Neal.
Also on the list are Filipino singer Lea Salonga, French actress Marion Cotillard, Indian film star Deepika Padukone, British actress Emily Blunt, and Canadian actress Rachel McAdams, among others.
While the official dates for the induction ceremonies have not yet been released, honorees are given a two-year window to schedule their star unveiling.
