Air Peace has announced a temporary disruption to its flight schedules following a bird strike incident involving one of its aircraft on Thursday morning.

In a statement released by the airline, Flight P47100, operating the Lagos-Enugu route, suffered a bird strike shortly after takeoff and was forced to return to Lagos for precautionary safety checks.

“We hereby notify you and the flying public of an ongoing flight disruption across our network today,” the airline said.
“This morning, Flight P47100, operating the Lagos-Enugu route, experienced a bird strike and had to make an air return for safety checks.
We sincerely empathize with our passengers over the inconvenience caused and appeal for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to minimize disruptions.”

Air Peace reassured passengers that the safety of its customers and crew remains its top priority and emphasized its adherence to strict safety protocols.

While the airline did not disclose the number of passengers on board, it confirmed that all necessary measures are being taken to restore normal flight operations as quickly as possible.
