President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja on Saturday, January 11, for the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025).
The summit, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, will run from January 12 to 18 and is expected to gather global leaders to accelerate sustainable development efforts.
The invitation to the event was extended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The summit, themed “The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” will explore innovative pathways to achieve a sustainable economy while fostering global prosperity.
ADSW, held annually for over 15 years, serves as a platform for policymakers, business leaders, and civil society to collaborate on addressing global challenges.
The event has consistently facilitated strategic partnerships, high-value agreements, and initiatives aimed at advancing the global sustainability agenda.
President Tinubu is expected to highlight his administration’s ongoing reforms, particularly in energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development. Additionally, the Nigerian delegation will engage in discussions with the UAE’s leadership on bilateral issues of mutual interest.
Accompanying the President will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with other senior government officials. The President is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16.
