Dangote Refinery has announced a price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per litre, offering relief to Nigerians as the festive season approaches.

The announcement, made on Thursday by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, highlights the refinery’s efforts to ease transportation costs during the holiday period, traditionally a time of increased travel expenses.

“To alleviate transport costs this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM,” Chiejina said.

Additionally, consumers purchasing fuel in cash can obtain an extra litre on credit for every litre bought, provided they secure a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

The refinery, Africa’s first privately-owned oil refining facility, had previously reduced the price of PMS to N970 per litre on November 24.

Thanking Nigerians for their support, Chiejina reiterated the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, environmentally friendly petroleum products at competitive prices. He also emphasized the refinery’s role in reducing Nigeria’s reliance on substandard imported fuel, which has posed health and environmental risks.

The latest price adjustment underscores Dangote Refinery’s dedication to supporting Nigerians during the festive period while championing cleaner, locally refined petroleum products.
