The Nigerian forward, who has consistently delivered standout displays for both club and country, expressed delight at his nomination. The acknowledgment places him in contention for one of African football’s most coveted individual honors.
Victor Osimhen, another Nigerian star, claimed the award last year, adding further significance to Lookman’s ambitions of following in his compatriot’s footsteps.
The 2023 CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16, where the winner of this year’s accolade will be unveiled.
