The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in all 23 local government chairmanship positions and 255 councillorship seats in the Kaduna State local government elections held on Saturday.
The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) Chairman, Hajara Mohammed, announced the results, confirming that eight political parties participated in the polls, but APC candidates won in every contested position.
“The electoral officers have submitted their reports, and at the end of the exercise, APC candidates won all 23 chairmanship positions and 255 councillorship seats across the state,” Mohammed said.
She further noted that the results were compiled in line with legal provisions, with the respective returning officers declaring the outcomes in each local government area and ward.
