Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf expressed his heartfelt condolences on Saturday to the families of five police officers who tragically lost their lives in a motor accident in Karfi town along the Kano-Zaria road last Tuesday. The officers were returning from Edo State after the recent governorship election.

The governor’s message was shared in a press statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Tofa. Accompanied by senior government officials, Yusuf visited the Bichi Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force to offer his sympathies to the bereaved families and to those injured in the incident.

In his statement, Governor Yusuf prayed for the eternal rest of the deceased in Jannatul Firdausi and wished a swift recovery for the injured. To support the families of the deceased officers, he announced a donation of N500,000 to each family and N250,000 to each of the 11 injured officers.
