Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) dropped their first points of the Ligue 1 season on Saturday, managing a 1-1 draw against Reims thanks to a late goal by Ousmane Dembele. Reims took an early lead when Japan’s Keito Nakamura scored off Junya Ito’s cross, beating PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who was standing in for the injured Gianluigi Donnarumma.
PSG faced further setbacks when new signing Desire Doue left the field injured in the second half. Dembele, who came on as a substitute for Doue, quickly made an impact, scoring the equalizer by converting Joao Neves’ cross. This marked Dembele’s fourth goal in five league games, already surpassing his total from last season.
Despite the draw, PSG extended their record for consecutive unbeaten away matches in Ligue 1 to 27, maintaining a three-point lead at the top of the table. However, Marseille and Monaco could overtake them, as both have games in hand.
In other Ligue 1 action, M’Bala Nzola’s last-minute goal earned Lens a 1-1 draw with Rennes, while Lille and Strasbourg played out a 3-3 thriller, with Jonathan David’s late penalty helping Lille avoid a fifth straight defeat.
