President Bola Tinubu has expressed relief and satisfaction over the recent string of successful military operations against security threats in the North-West region.

In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday, Tinubu commended the country’s security forces for their effectiveness in ensuring national peace and security.

On Thursday, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji neutralized notorious bandit leader Halilu Sububu, who had been terrorizing citizens in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other areas in north-western Nigeria.

In addition, the military successfully eliminated another terrorist, Sani Wala Burki, during a joint operation in Katsina and dismantled a terrorist enclave in Kaduna, where 13 kidnapped students were freed.

These operations came in response to the President’s directive to the service chiefs to relocate to the region until normalcy is fully restored.

“President Tinubu commends the military high command, the intelligence agencies, and the troops for their valiant efforts, synergy, and dedication, which have resulted in the recent laudable outcomes,” the statement read.

“The President also commends the entire security apparatus for the improved security in the nation and enjoins them to sustain their efforts until immediate and latent threats are permanently removed,” the statement continued.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his continued support for the security agencies in their mission to maintain the safety and security of the nation.
