The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the appointment of four new Commissioners of Police to lead the Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom State Commands. This decision follows the recent promotion of senior police officers, which left vacancies in various state commands.

The new appointees are Isah Danladi Nda for Abia State, Olarewaju Ishola Olawale for Lagos State, Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya for Ebonyi State, and Miller Gajere Dantawaye for Akwa Ibom State.

The Chairman of the PSC, retired DIG Hashimu Argungu, urged the newly appointed commissioners to actively work toward improving security in their respective states.

He emphasized that their performance would be closely monitored by the Commission.

In a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission highlighted the need for the appointees to contribute to building a competent and efficient police force in their states.

The PSC pledged continuous support to ensure optimal service delivery.

The appointment letters, signed by Onyemuche Nnamani, Secretary to the Commission, have been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, for immediate implementation.
