A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, tragically passed away during a church service at the Zonal Accountant Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos, on Sunday, September 8.
The incident occurred around 8:48 a.m. during the testimony session of the service. Ifeoma, who had come forward to share her testimony while singing, suddenly collapsed in front of the congregation.
Efforts were made to revive her as she was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital. However, she was later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where medical personnel confirmed her death.
Lagos State Police were notified of the situation and sent detectives to the hospital. However, by the time they arrived, Ifeoma’s body had already been taken by her family, who were transporting her remains to Anambra State for burial.
The cause of her sudden death remains unknown, and it has not yet been determined whether a formal investigation will be conducted to uncover further details surrounding the tragic event.
