The student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Christian Idowu who was abducted in Lagos while traveling between Ikorodu and Yaba, has been found murdered by her captor.

Idowu had been undertaking industrial training at the University of Lagos when she was taken by unknown individuals.

Her family received a demand for N3 million in ransom shortly after losing contact with her.

After negotiations, the abductors accepted a reduced payment of N350,000, which was promptly made by the family.

However, despite the payment, Idowu was not released.

In a shocking development, it has now been confirmed that the student was killed by her abductor.

FUNAAB’s Student Union Government president, Ibrahim Adeyemi, confirmed the murder in a statement, expressing the union’s grief over the loss.

Meanwhile, reports surfaced online detailing the involvement of intelligence operatives in tracking the suspect. Using bank verification numbers (BVN) and account details tied to the ransom, the operatives identified the abductor.

Their investigation revealed the suspect had a close relationship with the victim.

Efforts to trace the abductor’s movements led law enforcement to a location in Ikorodu, where the victim’s family resides. As of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police have yet to officially comment on the matter.
