President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of strategic policy analyst, Opeyemi Agbaje, as the Chairman of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).
Mr Agbaje confirmed the development in an update shared with Peoples Gazette on Saturday.
“On Monday, August 11, I received a call from the HMF/CME informing me of my appointment as Chairman of the National Pension Commission,’’ he said.
He disclosed that he had already met with the Director-General of PENCOM for an initial briefing on the commission’s operations.
Mr Agbaje, who is the Executive Producer of the Policy Council television show and Chief Executive Officer of RTC Advisory Services Limited, is widely recognised for his commentary on Nigeria’s economic policies.
He previously served two terms on the board of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) between 2011 and August 2019.
