Chief Olufemi Soneye, the Group Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), has formally stepped down from his position after nearly two years in office.
His departure marks the end of a tenure during which he played a significant role in reshaping the public image and communication strategy of Nigeria’s national energy company.
While the specific date of his exit has not been confirmed, the resignation was officially communicated to colleagues and stakeholders.
According to details shared internally, Soneye stated that the decision to resign was motivated by a desire to devote more time to family and attend to pressing personal responsibilities.
