The Katsina State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), emphasized the need for a collective effort to tackle drug abuse and trafficking in the state.
Speaking during a sensitization and advocacy program for women and youth on drug abuse awareness and prevention, the NDLEA Commander in Katsina, Mr. Muhammad Aminu-Abubakar, urged residents to play their part in curbing the menace.
“The fight against drug trafficking and abuse requires the involvement of all stakeholders.
All hands must be on deck to combat this challenge,” Aminu-Abubakar stated.
He highlighted the “critical role of families, communities, religious institutions, and traditional leaders” in addressing drug-related issues and called on the state government to continue supporting the agency’s efforts.
The commander reiterated that a united approach is essential to effectively combat drug abuse and safeguard the well-being of Katsina residents.
