The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the commencement of the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 Orientation Camp across all states of the federation today, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

This information was shared on Tuesday via the NYSC’s official X handle, @officialnyscng.

“Prospective corps members (PCMs) are to report to their various camps on the date slated on their call-up letters, with their required documents and survival packs,” the announcement stated.

The NYSC also disclosed that deployment letters for the 2024 Batch C Stream 2 have been released, allowing PCMs to access their deployment details and prepare for the service year.

Travel and Safety Advisory

The scheme emphasized safety during travel, urging PCMs to avoid nighttime journeys to their respective camps.
“PCMs are advised not to travel to Orientation Camps at night,” the NYSC warned, reiterating its dedication to the safety and well-being of corps members.

Registration and Logistical Arrangements

Prospective corps members were reminded of the need to print and sign the addendum for submission during registration at the orientation camp.
The NYSC also announced specific logistical arrangements for PCMs deployed to Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

PCMs deployed to Lagos State will undertake their orientation course in camps located in Ekiti, Ondo, or Osun.

Those deployed to the FCT may have their orientation programs in camps situated in Nasarawa or Kaduna.

“Some PCMs deployed to Lagos State will have their orientation course in Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun camps. Similarly, some PCMs deployed to FCT will have their orientation course in Nasarawa and Kaduna camps,” the NYSC clarified.

About the Orientation Program

The orientation course, which lasts for three weeks, is a vital component of the NYSC program. It involves various activities designed to foster discipline, unity, and preparation for the one-year service.

Established in 1973, the NYSC aims to promote national unity, integration, and development. The program is mandatory for Nigerian graduates under the age of 30 and comprises three phases: the orientation camp, primary assignment, and community development service.

For further updates, PCMs are encouraged to follow the NYSC’s official social media channels.
