Dr. Joseph Obele, PETROAN’s National Public Relations Officer, disclosed this on Friday following a strategic meeting in Abuja between PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, his team, and NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mallam Mele Kyari.
According to Obele, the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between NNPCL and PETROAN to prevent disruptions in fuel supply during the festive period.
“The strategic meeting was very successful as matters on effective collaboration between the NNPCL and PETROAN to ensure seamless distribution of petroleum products across the country during and after the Yuletide period were discussed,” Obele stated.
During the visit, PETROAN honored Kyari with an award as an honorary life council member of the association and recognized him as the most productive Group Managing Director and CEO in NNPCL’s history.
Dr. Gillis-Harry praised Kyari for his efforts in reviving the Port Harcourt Refinery and advancing the Nigerian petroleum sector.
“The National President of PETROAN appreciated the GCEO for his efforts towards resuscitating the Port Harcourt Refinery and the general growth of the Nigerian petroleum industry,” the statement read.
This partnership underscores both organizations’ commitment to ensuring a steady fuel supply for Nigerians during the festive season and beyond.
