Residents of Nise Community in Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, are in mourning following the gruesome discovery of three young boys, aged between two and six years, found dead inside their father’s car last Saturday.
The children were discovered lifeless in the parked vehicle within the family compound, with reports indicating their mouths were bound and blood smeared inside the car, pointing to a calculated and chilling act of violence.
Preliminary findings suggest the perpetrator may have gained access to the premises by scaling the compound wall.
The children’s father, described as a native doctor and businessman in his early thirties, reportedly left his children locked inside the compound while he and their mother attended to their respective businesses. He would return intermittently to provide meals before heading back to work.
While rumours suggest the father may have been involved in disputes with certain individuals, it remains unclear whether these alleged conflicts are linked to the tragic deaths.
Local security officials have been notified, and investigations are underway. However, when contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that the incident had not yet been officially reported to his office.
“We are yet to receive any formal complaint regarding this case, but we assure the public that a statement will be issued once we have confirmed the details,” Ikenga told Channels Television.
The horrifying incident has left the community reeling with grief and demanding justice for the innocent lives lost.
