President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Chief Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on his 58th birthday, describing him as one of the standout performers in his cabinet and a key driver of national development.
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Mr. Tinubu extended heartfelt felicitations to Wike, celebrating his life of “purpose, service and courage.”
The President highlighted Wike’s role in advancing infrastructure across the Federal Capital Territory, specifically pointing to the resolution of a long-standing delay in the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, which had stalled for more than a decade. He said the development exemplifies Wike’s commitment to delivering results for Nigerians.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the **shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” the President said.
Tinubu also praised Wike’s resilience, “can-do attitude” and unwavering dedication to excellence, noting that his contributions to the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda have been significant “even though he belongs to another party.”
As the minister celebrates this milestone, the President prayed for renewed strength and continued success in his role leading developments in Abuja.
