President Bola Tinubu, is set to embark on a two-week working visit to Paris, France, starting Wednesday.
During the visit, the President plans to review his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones, according to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement, titled “President Tinubu to Embark on Working Visit to Paris”, outlined that the President would use the opportunity to reflect on his administration’s progress, particularly the ongoing reforms.
Tinubu’s visit will also serve as a retreat to engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.
“At this retreat, the President will appraise the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning for the future, which will guide efforts to deepen reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the year ahead,” the statement read.
The statement highlighted recent economic successes, including a notable increase in Nigeria’s foreign exchange reserves.
The Central Bank of Nigeria reported a surge in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, a stark contrast to the $3.99 billion recorded in 2023, underscoring the effectiveness of the administration’s fiscal reforms.
The President’s convoy was seen leaving his official residence at approximately 11:00 am (local time) on Wednesday, signaling the commencement of his journey.
While in France, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged with his team, continuing to oversee governance activities.
He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
