President Bola Tinubu, extended his condolences to Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, following the death of his mother, Maryam, who passed away on Wednesday, December 25.
She was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions in the governor’s hometown of Kafin Hausa.
In a statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the late Hajiya Maryam for her dedication to community service.
He encouraged the Namadi family to honor her memory by continuing her philanthropic efforts.
The President described Hajiya Maryam as a pillar of her community and urged the family to find comfort in the lasting impact of her charitable work.
“Hajiya Maryam’s life was defined by her service to the community.
I encourage her family to keep her legacy alive by continuing her philanthropic endeavors,” Tinubu said.
He offered his support to Governor Namadi and other family members, urging them to draw strength from the good name and exemplary life she left behind.
