Thierry Henry has resigned as head coach of the France Under-21 national team, citing personal reasons for his departure.
The French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed his resignation on Monday, noting that Henry had terminated his contract due to personal circumstances.
Henry, the renowned former Arsenal and Barcelona striker, assumed the role in 2023 and guided the U21 team to the finals of the 2024 Olympics, where they won a silver medal.
His unexpected departure leaves the team without a head coach as they gear up for upcoming competitions.
The FFF has announced that it will now initiate a search for a new manager to succeed Henry as he moves on to new opportunities in his coaching career.
