Samuel Nwajagu, a Nigerian model and fitness enthusiast, has etched his name in history as the first African to win the prestigious Mister International title.
The 16th edition of the Mister International competition took place in Bangkok, Thailand, with 47 contestants from across the globe, including first-time entries from Cameroon, England, Benin Republic, and Mali.
The event featured a series of activities, including city tours, preliminary rounds showcasing physical attributes, cultural attire, and formal wear. Contestants also tackled questions on topical issues, highlighting their intelligence and charisma.
Nwajagu emerged victorious from a highly competitive field, sharing the final spotlight with Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia. Ultimately, the Nigerian model was declared the overall winner and was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Kim Thitisan Goodburn, the 2023 Mister International.
Hailing from Anambra State, Nwajagu is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt and has made a name for himself in the fashion and wellness industries. He has collaborated with prominent brands like Tice Grandiose and Veejayrex. His philosophy centers on “embracing a healthy life through fitness while unlocking your full potential.”
Nwajagu qualified for the global competition after being crowned Mister International Nigeria in July, a title that set the stage for his groundbreaking achievement on the international stage.
This historic win not only highlights Nwajagu’s talent and dedication but also marks a milestone for African representation in global pageantry.
