President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), at the invitation of UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dada Olusegun, the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, confirmed Tinubu’s arrival in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
He shared a video of Tinubu being warmly received by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he is received by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE,” Olusegun wrote.
The ADSW summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” runs from January 12 to 18 and brings together global leaders to advance sustainable development and socio-economic progress.
During the event, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a speech highlighting his administration’s reforms in energy efficiency, transportation, public health, and economic growth.
The President’s visit will also include discussions with UAE leadership to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore new avenues for economic collaboration.
The forum aims to foster dialogue among policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives on strategies to transition to a sustainable global economy while promoting inclusive prosperity.
Accompanying the President on the trip are Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
