President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja today to begin his 2025 annual leave abroad, the Presidency announced.
In a brief statement, the Senior Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the President is embarking on a working vacation to Europe. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today, September 4, to commence a working vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave. The vacation will last 10 working days. President Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK and then return to the country.”
The statement did not clarify whether Vice President Kashim Shettima would assume any formal responsibilities during the President’s absence.
