The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 19 individuals linked to a violent cult clash that rocked Owo town, in Owo Local Government Area, on Monday.
The clash, reportedly between two rival cult groups, claimed the lives of at least four people, sparking panic and unrest within the community.
In response to the violence, the state government swiftly imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the area to restore calm and prevent further incidents.
On Tuesday, the state Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Afolabi, visited the troubled community to assess the situation.
He assured residents that normalcy had been restored and revealed that 19 suspects connected to the incident had been taken into custody.
Authorities continue investigations as the community adjusts to the curfew and heightened security presence.
